This image came to me before the words did.

I imagine writing in this card for my kids. 

I thought of so many things this card could say, and in the end, I felt like I should quote myself on this one...because despite my spinal cord injury, some days I wheel through the house, and the light is streaming in through the windows just so, and my baby Levi is there, looking angelic. 

I could not have anticipated my life being this beautiful when I was lying like a caterpillar in a hospital bed. 

I hope this card helps you convey a wish for someone who is in the waiting. 

We never know what's next, but having hope is what enabled me to get past my accident and live a more beautiful life.

Hope is such an essential nutrient amidst uncertainty — as is the love from those around us, letting us know that they are hoping and praying for our best, putting that into words that we can read over and over.
