Oct. 16, 2025-- I’m running into issues with hard drive space.

I’m running into issues with hard drive space.

It’s my chronic indecisiveness, and it’s bringing up questions about what kind of person I am. It’s making me grow, and prioritize, and make decisions.

What can be deleted? Am I willing to let go of that tiny bit of information or video file?
Am I willing to let go?

Am I willing to sit down and do all the little things I’ve been putting off for months?

Find the mailing addresses for so many people?
Write my return address in the upper left-hand corner?

Sending a text is so much easier. It really is.

Which is why I have a stack of cards, written for various people.

Grace helped me start going through my desk while she was visiting.

Something I love about Grace is that I feel like she sees my crazy and, with a laugh, loves me for who I am, and is willing to help me.

I’m trying to make continuing the good work of cleaning my desk a goal for the rest of October.

Finally sending these cards.

I have been trying to observe why cards get written but don’t get sent.

I think it has to do partly with perfectionism, and partly with not having a good system.

As I continue to work on this, I hope to continue to let you in on any tricks I find to be useful for helping me be the thoughtful, orderly person I want to be when it comes to snail mail.

Systems do not come easily for me.
In trying to figure them out for myself, I hope to share with you what I find out. :D

...

Back to my computer hard drive issue.

It really comes down to: Do you have systems for decluttering?
